When it rains, it pours
Everything in our house is breaking!!! OK...that's an exaggeration, but we have had several things start going wonky on us. The garage door will not close unless you hold the inside button down until it is completely closed. This means every time I leave, I have to pull the car out and then get out go in and shut it. Annoying!! also, our shower door broke. One of the hinges snapped. Who knew shower doors could be so costly! Our truck is starting to fall apart, too. Nothing major at this point, but small little things that are adding up. We need at minimum 6 more months out of it! There are several other small things acting up as well. Ugh! all those small things add up. I guess that's what an emergency fund is for!

That's exactly how things happen. It's never spread out in a manageable way. It all goes bad at once.
Our garage door did that. In our case, and hopefully to avoid you having to call for repairs, we just checked our sensors and one of them had been bumped so it wasn't lined up with the other one.
So sorry, but the good 'ole emergency fund does come in handy. The stupid Bronco has been eating ours up lately and I think our refrigerator is getting hungry too. :( I love that you used the word "wonky"!
Sorry about this rainstorm :( Hopefully you'll get a string of great surprises soon that are fabulous.
